1. "Mom the toilet isn't working"
"Why Ben, what do you mean"
"I dont know mommy, the people in it will not make it flush"....
2. While watching the women's gymnastics team final olympics. " Mommy those girls have tummies on their top under their necks like you" :)
3. While at a restaurant. "Ben what would you like for dinner?" Oh yum I want chicken wings! Mom, what are chicken wings?
4. While I was standing at there top of our stairs and he was at the bottom. "Mom if I had my rope from Pop Pops house I would throw it up to you and then I would be Spiderman and swing up and get you.
5. "When the baby comes I'm going to take him and throw him so high up in the sky up to Jesus."

Muffins with Mom
This morning was Muffins with Mom at Ben's playschool. The kids came out and did a small show for the moms (which very uncharacteristically) Ben was more interested in eating his muffin than participating, so he sat with me. In these type of moments I really cherish being Ben's mom. . Ben is such a sweet hearted child and basically cuddled with me in the room while he ate his muffin while the other children ran around and played. I have always wanted children, ever since I was 5 years old everyone who knew me knew I liked pretending I was the "mommy" of anyone who would allow. There are some days I could just stay cuddled up in bed with my baby all day and talk and play and watch TV. God definitely blessed me with the perfect little boy for me who loves to cuddle just as much as his mommy! The best part about today was that Ben did a "My Mommy" sheet where the teachers asked them questions about their moms and they filled out these funny sheets for us. To make the day even better Ben listed that he thinks I weigh 90 lbs and that I like to clean! This post really has no funny Ben comments but I just wanted to brag on what a sweet, joyful, cuddly, caring little boy our family has been blessed with. I love him more than life.

Mom: Ben, Ms. Kim said that you are going to be an Angel at your Christmas play.
Ben: No, Mommy. Girls are Angels I'm going to be spider man.

This year we started the "Elf on the Shelf" book / tradition. Ben named his Elf "Pickle Head" and even after trying to tell him how awesome another name would be pickle head has stuck! Pickle Head is definitely performing his function. Whenever Ben needs to perform a "bad act" he will leave the room where Pickle Head is residing for the day. If I ask him to do something and oddly enough he obliges he will conveniently ask me if we can "put his shoes on in the living room (insert whichever room Pickle Head is located at the time). " Thank you Pickle Head for making my 3 year old obey slightly more often!

Ben: Mom can I have another Christmas cookie?
Me: Ben, if you have anymore cookies your belly will hurt.
Ben: Mommy, I want my belly to hurt.

Today was the beginning of Christmas decorating at the Espinosa casa. We have already had to tell Ben 200 times not to plug or unplug the lights that he has to ask mommy or daddy. Many tears later and we are still having to ask him. There must be something so appealing to a 3 year old about a socket. On a side note Luis and I spent 2 hours tonight trying to put up 1 set of blinds in Ben's room! Luis walked into the loft to find Ben playing with ANOTHER set of the Christmas lights plugged in. He asked Ben who plugged in the lights? And Ben stood up and started waving his arms and saying, "Its amazing, its amazing, its amazing." Apparently a modern day miracle was performed in our loft this evening.
